Allyson Chick is currently serving as the Central Area Director and is a fourth grade teacher at Fox Meadows Elementary.  She has been a member of MEA for 4 years.  Allyson was elected in 2005 as the new teacher member of the TEA Board of Directors.

She has a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Memphis and is currently pursuing her Masters in English with a concentration in ESL.

Ms. Chick has served as Association Representative and a member of the Read Across America Committee.  She has been elected as a delegate to the TEA-RA 2 times. 

She has received honors and recognitions such as TIPPS Grant 2001, school leadership team, served as grade chair for the rotary grant for professional development 2002 and as math coach for the rotary grant for Innovative Teaching 2002.

She is a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority, a member of the National Reading Association and a member of the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA).
