Daisy Cleaves is currently serving on the TEA Board and has been a member since 1976.  She teaches 11th and 12th grade Economics at Hamilton High school.

Ms. Cleaves received a B. S. in Secondary Education/Social Studies from Memphis State University and a Master's of Education in Special Education from Memphis State University. 

Ms. Cleaves has been in education for 33 years.  She has served as chairperson for the Human Relations Committee and has served on the PASS (Partnerships to Assist Student Success) Committee.  She was also the treasurer of Hamilton High's Parents, Teachers and Students Associations (PTSA).

Additionally, she has served as a delegate to TEA & NEA Representative Assemblies for over 20 years.
