Stephanie Fitzgerald is currently serving as President of MEA and has been a member for 28 years.  She taught Biology at Melrose High School for grades 9 - 12.

She earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio and a Masters of Education in Biology from Wright State University in Fairborn, Ohio.   Ms Fitzgerald has a Masters +30 in  Education Leadership from The University of Memphis.

Ms. Fitzgerald served MEA as an East Area Director for 2 terms, an Association Representative for 14 years and has served on the M-PACE council for 8 years.   She has also served on the MEA bargaining teams.  Ms. Fitzgerald has served as a TEA-RA delegate 6 times and as a NEA-RA delegate 5 times.

She is a member of Kappa Delta Pi, the American Association of University Women and Friends of the Library.
