 Freda D. Boskey, is presently a Teacher-Co Chair of Health Sciences Department at East High School.

She has 16 years in Education and a member of  MEA 15 years.

 Ms. Boskey received a B.A. Degree in Education, University of Memphis; M.S. University of Tennessee Knoxville, TN; Diploma Methodist School of Medical Technology- Memphis, TN.

 She has received honors/recognitions from:  National Honor Roll’s Outstanding American Teachers; Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers; Tennessee’s Outstanding New Vocational Teacher of the Year; Recipient of the Pfizer Foundations’ Biotechnology Grant.

 She has served with the following organizations:  National Association of Notaries; America Society of Clinical Pathologists; American Society of Clinical Laboratory Science; National Association of Science Teachers; National Credentialing Agency for Clinical Laboratory Personnel.

 I bring both educational and industrial experience to the MEA Board of Directors.  I am not only an educational professional, but also a medical professional.  I am a servant to my community through various organizations to which I belong.  I communicate well with other individuals, and I am a team player.  I have a passion for teaching as well as teacher’s rights.  I look forward to serving my fellow teachers through my position on the MEA Board of Directors.
