The Memphis-Shelby County Education Association would like to offer you the opportunity to join your professional association and participate in a wealth of educational benefits.

For over 80 years, M-SCEA has been THE source for professional assistance and accurate information!



To join, click on the link to the left for a membership form. Or, you can contact your building level Association Representative (AR) to request a form. And as always, you can stop by our offices at 126 Flicker Street to pick up a form. Simply complete the information on the membership application and return it to M-SCEA via Board mail (Rt. 2), return it to your AR, or drop it by the M-SCEA office.  We are located one block behind the SCS Board of Education where Avery deadends at Flicker.

Your professional organization, The Memphis-Shelby County Education Association, is more than 4,000 members strong. M-SCEA is the largest teacher association in the state of Tennessee and one of the largest Associations in the nation.

The Memphis-Shelby County Education Association is the professional organization that represents school employees, including teachers, mental health professionals and most education suppport professionals (ESPs). M-SCEA promotes professional excellence for its members and high quality instruction for students. Local association leaders and UniServ Staff are available throughout the year to assist members with their concerns. Members receive benefits including direct and extensive legal support and leadership opportunities that potential members do not receive. M-SCEA offers monthly meetings and workshops to keep its members informed of current issues related to the education profession.
